Driven by his own experiences overcoming childhood abandonment, adversity, and personal challenges, Untraun transformed pain into purpose and dedicated his life to helping others heal, rebuild, and discover their potential.
For more than a decade, he has worked as a mentor, motivational speaker, recovery coach, entrepreneur, and community advocate committed to empowering individuals through guidance, accountability, leadership development, and personal transformation.
Founded in 2021, Power of the People was created from Untraun’s belief that a person’s past should never define their future. Through mentorship, workforce development, housing initiatives, and community support systems, the organization helps individuals gain the tools, structure, and opportunities needed to rebuild stable and productive lives.
Untraun’s leadership philosophy is rooted in restoration, faith, discipline, healing, and community empowerment. His mission is to help break cycles of trauma, reduce barriers to opportunity, and create pathways toward long-term stability and generational impact throughout Southern Dallas and beyond.
Under his leadership, Power of the People continues building programs and partnerships designed to strengthen families, empower communities, and create real opportunities for individuals seeking a second chance.
Rev. Joseph G. Thomas Sr. is a Dallas native. Although, Thomas was raised in a single-parent home with his three brothers, his father was very involved with his life. He accepted Christ at an early age at College Park Baptist Church in which he is still an active member. Rev. Thomas graduated from Lincoln High School in 2002 and decided to further his studies in Cinema/Television at Southern Methodist University. Thomas preached his first sermon in the fall of 2003. In the spring of 2004 Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity added a new outstanding member and he graduated from Southern Methodist University in 2007. Rev. Thomas truly made his mark. Mr. Thomas “Mr. T” as his students called him, was an educator at his alma mater Lincoln Humanities/ Communications Magnet but now is the Audio/Video Production Teacher at Lancaster HS.
Mr. Thomas has worked with the SMU Upward Bound program, taught at Lincoln, mentors and has worked with the City of Dallas in production for several years. He also started the TEAM (Together Enriching A lot as Men) and has taught over 1,000 young men how to tie a tie through the "Tie My Tie"initiative.
Rev. Joseph G. Thomas is an active associate minister at College Park Baptist Church. Thomas was a Candidate for Dallas City Council District 7 representative in the 2019 May Election. Thomas thanks God for blessing him on a daily basis and for making him a father. His motto is “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”.
Teldrick Morgan is a technology professional, entrepreneur, mentor, former collegiate athlete, and community advocate committed to empowering youth and underserved communities through leadership, education, workforce development, and personal growth.
Originally from Texarkana, Teldrick built a strong foundation through athletics, discipline, and perseverance, eventually earning a football scholarship at New Mexico State University after walking onto the team. He later completed his collegiate football career at the University of Maryland while pursuing a master’s degree in Technology Entrepreneurship.
Following his athletic career, Teldrick expanded his focus into information technology, entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and community leadership. He currently works in the technology field while actively mentoring and coaching young athletes, helping guide students toward educational opportunities, leadership development, and long-term success.
Teldrick is also the founder of business and community-focused initiatives centered around innovation, financial literacy, technology, and personal development. His passion for mentorship and empowerment aligns closely with Power of the People’s mission to create pathways toward opportunity, stability, and community restoration throughout Southern Dallas.
As a board member, Teldrick brings leadership, strategic vision, youth engagement experience, entrepreneurial insight, and a deep commitment to helping individuals overcome barriers and maximize their potential.
