The CAS Lab investigates the neural foundations of cognition, emotion, and social behavior—three interrelated yet distinct processes that shape human interaction. Using functional Near-Infrared Spectroscopy (fNIRS), we examine how cognitive and affective mechanisms interact during real-world social situations, in both healthy individuals and those with neurological or psychiatric conditions.
