Italian Club talked about the feast day of San Nicolò (Santa Claud is rooted in St. Nicholas). On the evening of December 5th, Italian children put their best shoes by the door or by the fireplace, and San Nicolò will come and fill their shoes with goodies. Traditionally, he might leave an orange, candies, a coin, a small trinket or ornament, and coal or sticks for naughty children. Students created shoes in Italian Club and left them out for San Nicolò. Looks like they’ve been pretty good this year.
