The Senior Research Nurse’s oversee the delivery team - they are the first point of contact for any staffing concerns. They chair weekly collaborative meetings with staff across the West Midlands to ensure Delivery Organisation's requests are managed in line with capacity and provide equity of access. All staff allocations are considered carefully by the senior team at these meetings, endeavouring to support the requests appropriately and in line with capacity. Additionally, the Senior Research Nurses can signpost you to other services within the RRDN who may be of assistance to your organisation.
The role of a research nurse is varied; they are able to assist study teams with a large variety of clinical trial requirements. There are many specialties that the nurses are able to support, e.g. Paediatric, Neonatal, and Mental Health. In addition to these, they can support all adult nursing specialities. Our research nurses have the knowledge and ability to work alongside internal research staff at your organisation to enable research to continue smoothly.
A CPRA is a non-clinical role. They are able to support your team with administrative and data related tasks within clinical research trials. They can assist study teams with case report forms and database entry, site file management, and data queries. In addition to this they are able to help the wider research team with administrative support if required. Our CPRAs have a high level of skill and knowledge which is transferable in to any study that may require administrative or data support.
A Clinical Research Practitioner is able to assist research teams with a large variety of clinical trial requirements. There is a range of knowledge and professional experience within the team which allows successful support to a wide range of studies in a wide range of settings.
