This privacy notice relates to collecting, recording and storing personal contact information described in this privacy notice to enable the NIHR ARC Yorkshire and Humber (ARC YH) Project Management Team to collect, record and store information to support the testing, evaluation, development and implementation of the VICTOR tool.
In this privacy notice, ‘we’ or ‘us’ means the NIHR ARC Yorkshire and Humber Project Management team; ‘you’ or ‘your’ means you as a user of the VICTOR tool.
This privacy notice tells you what information we collect and how it is used to support the delivery of the project, including your rights and how to contact us.
VICTOR (visible impact of research) is a tool for health and care organisations aimed to make visible the benefits of conducting research. It was originally developed as a hardcopy tool by 12 CRN YH Partner Organisations and piloted across 14 NHS Trusts in the region on a minimum of 2 studies per site.
In 2021, an online version of a Minimal Viable Product (MVP) of VICTOR was developed with funding and project management support from the CRN YH. An updated of the VICTOR tool was developed in 2023 in collaboration with the ACORN group and NIHR CRN YH.
The NIHR ARC Yorkshire and Humber VICTOR Management team is the Data Controller for the personal information collected and processed about you accordance with data protection legislation.
Our legal basis for collecting your personal information under GDPR is:

Details of your visits to this website and the pages/resources accessed
Information you provide such as details submitted via questionnaires

If you change your mind and would like to withdraw your permission for your information to be held by the VICTOR Management team in relation to the VICTOR tool, you can do so by contacting us at VICTORimpact.tool@gmail.com
Where you withdraw your permission, your information will be deleted from the VICTOR project contact database.
Updating your details
If you need to update any of the information you have provided, you will need to email VICTORimpact.tool@gmail.com and we will update our information accordingly.
The VICTOR website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, to analyse how users interact with the website. You may decline the use of cookies, which collect usage data for analysis, by setting the appropriate settings on your browser. We use records of the pages users have visited to analyse trends so we can improve the website. These records do not contain any personal information about website users.
