Thank you for visiting our virtual Research Roadshow - a space where we hope to provide lots of information about different ways you can get involved or take part in health and care research across Cornwall, Devon and Somerset. Health and care research seeks to find answers to questions about the best options available - whether that's looking at new drugs and treatments or comparing current standard care with an alternative. Research helps to:
diagnose diseases earlier or more accurately
provide life-changing treatments
prevent people from developing conditions
improve health and care for generations to come
ensure everyone has a better quality of life
We always need people, like you, to take part in a variety of clinical trials running across the South West Peninsula. Research takes place in ALL of the hospitals across the region, as well as in GP practices and other community settings. Our partnering organisations, listed below, all run hundreds of clinical trials every year and need people to volunteer to take part or help shape how the research is setup and delivered.
