For young people

My name is Calum Stevenson and I am a Youth Co-investigator for the SAPhe study. I am a year 12 student at Wirral Grammar School for Boys with a passion for medicine and medical research. On top of this, I play piano and hockey, where I play for my local club.

I decided to become part of the study as I felt it was interesting and important; especially since children's mental health is clearly a big issue as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, having a disruptive effect on all young people's lives.

I feel like the project will be an exciting and beneficial experience for me as I will learn what it's like to contribute to a study whilst also helping children by applying my experience as a young person to make the study more accessible to other young people.
