Good Clinical Practice training is available to NHS, UK universities, and other publicly funded organisations conducting and supporting clinical research. Our GCP course explores the application of GCP in the context of UK regulations, policies and frameworks.

You will require an enrolment key to access the GCP elearning courses on Open Learn.

Please complete the relevant form below to request an enrolement key and we will get back to you (during working hours Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm).

Alternatively, we would be grateful if you could ask your study contact/employer to email us at crncc.training@nihr.ac.uk from their work email address to confirm that you are required to complete the NIHR GCP training available on NIHR Open Learn.

Recommended web browsers

For the best experience while using NIHR OpenLearn, you will need a modern web browser such as Google Chrome, Firefox or Safari.

We advise that you avoid using Internet Explorer (IE) as you may not have the best experience of completing the course. You may experience problems such as pages not loading or freezing. If you do use IE, we would recommend versions 9 or above as previous versions are no longer supported by Microsoft and the performance could be problematic.

NIHR OpenLearn is a web-based platform which provides access to our learning. You access NIHR OpenLearn via the internet using the web browser on your computer/device. This means that you can access NIHR Learn from any location which is connected to the internet, including from your home.

• Please note that some slides require the user to select ALL of the images or click on certain interactive parts of the slide in order to activate the 'next' button. Please ensure that you read the instructions on the page and completed the necessary actions.

• Alternatively, you should be able to navigate to the next slide by clicking the three lines in the top left corner and select the next section title.

E-Learing Certificates

• Select the course you completed in the 'My courses' area of the menu bar at the top of the page OR, you can navigate to the course you completed via the home page.

• When you have opened the course, scroll down to the evaluation and certificate area (usually towards the bottom of the page).

• Click the link titled 'Introduction to GCP elearning Certificate' (or similar title)

• On the next page, please click 'Get your certificate' this will load a PDF document that can be downloaded and saved to your computer.

• Please remember to check your internet settings for any pop-up blockers that could be preventing your certificate from loading.

Please note your certificate will only be available if you have completed all of the required modules.
