Thursday 21 September 2023 @ The Village Hotel. Walsall J10 M6
Introduction
The NIHR CRN West Midlands Radiotherapy Trials Educational Event took place on 21 September 2023 which showcased current radiotherapy clinical trials in the region and raise awareness of up-and-coming trials. The benefits of radiotherapy trial involvement were highlighted specifically with improving the care for our patients and by improving access to innovative treatment. Practice changing radiotherapy trials were presented which has helped provide the evidence base to current standard of care treatment for our patients. We had a very good attendance across the radiotherapy disciplines (clinicians, research radiographers, clinical trials team, physicists) and overall there were excellent presentations from speakers across the region with very interesting and insightful discussions.
