The distribution of this special award is in response to their level of their impact, the innovative approaches that they have used to deliver research, the reach of the studies that they have delivered, the strength of the engagement needed to make their research activities a success, and their bold ambition in delivering complex research at scale during a challenging environment.
As these attributes, which underpinned the awards, were so clearly demonstrated, the judges agreed that it would be appropriate to hand out a special recognition award. This will be presented in person at the awards ceremony.
