Search by Specialty or Subspecialty

You can select one or more values from the filters with + symbols to find studies that match your criteria. For example, if you select Cancer as the Managing Specialty, this will display only studies that the NIHR has assigned to be managed by that national Specialty.  Alternatively, you could ignore that filter and use All Subspecialties instead. 

In the example shown below, this will list all studies that involve the Lung Cancer subspecialty, even if those studies are not managed by the Cancer specialty, but perhaps by Respiratory or Surgery.

You can clear a selection by pressing the cross next to the selected specialty name. 

Search

The Portfolio Maps can be filtered by a keyword, for example you may wish to search for a specific disease or condition relevant to the research study. This field scans keywords from the long title of the study, the inclusion criteria and the exclusion criteria. 

Search by Trust

The Hospital Trusts and their abbreviations can be viewed at the end of this page. To search for a particular Hospital Trust enter the abbreviation into the 'Trusts' search box. In the example below, the Trust's "BCHC & BWC" is used to filter out all associated studies for those Trust's.

How to get more information & get back to main screen

Click on 'More Info' at the bottom of each study card and this will provide additional information such as the inclusion/exclusion criteria, planned closure date & participating WM Trust's. To return back to the Portfolio Maps, click on the cross in the top right hand corner. 

How to access the Public Open Data Platform (ODP) link for more information

Public ODP can be accessed by clicking on the 'ODP' tab when in the 'More Info' page. Public ODP includes additional information such as the research summary, inclusion/exclusion criteria, study team contact details, study dates and targets.
