The NIHR provides a number of training courses to support you in your role. Some courses are available online to complete at your selected time whilst others are run at a local level as face to face courses. Our training platform is called NIHR Learn and can be found at http://learn.nihr.ac.uk/.

Good Clinical Practice (GCP) is the international, ethical, scientific and practical standard to which all clinical research is conducted. Compliance with GCP provides public assurance that the rights, safety and wellbeing of research participants are protected and that research data are reliable.
Our Introduction courses are designed for individuals who are new to clinical research, who have no previous experience of delivery of clinical research in the NHS.
Our Refresher courses are designed for experienced research delivery staff who:
have previously completed an Introduction course
have recent practical experience of working in a clinical research environment and have a good understanding of GCP and related frameworks.
