PORTFOLIO ADDITIONAL RULES FOR STUDENTS.
1.) Any student who is found to be involved in any form of PLAGIARISM will be disciplined in line with the extant rules, in addition to being made to repeat the entire externship exercise. For purposes of portfolio assessment, plagiarism includes, but not limited to, copying, duplicating or assisting, encouraging or concealing the duplication or copying of PowerPoint Slides, essays, reports, etc from fellow students, former students, the internet, textbooks or the contents of another student’s Log Book, essay, reports, slides, etc.
2.) It is an act of gross misconduct for a student to present forged or fake documents, reports or statement, or to make false representations, to or before the Portfolio Assessment Panel for purposes of portfolio Assessment.
3.) A student appearing before a Portfolio Assessment Panel must be properly attired, in complete regulation attire. Each Student must appear before the panel with the Nigerian Law School Lagos Campus Identity Card. A Portfolio Assessment Panel reserves the right to disqualify or otherwise discipline any student who is not properly attired.
4.) Portfolio Assessment commences at 9.00am on each day, from Monday, October 27, 2025 to Friday, October 31, 2025. A student scheduled to appear before a Panel on a particular day must arrive the venue of the Panel NOT LATER THAN 30 minutes before the scheduled time for commencement. A student who arrives late will be disciplined accordingly.
5.) Each student must appear before the particular Portfolio Assessment Panel to which he or she is attached. Any student who fails to present on the scheduled day will not be assessed at all and will be disciplined. A student found to have, by false or fraudulent representation, appeared and presented before a Panel other than his or her own Panel will be treated as not having done any presentation at all, in addition to other disciplinary measures against the affected student, in line with extant rules.
6.) On no account should a student appearing before a Portfolio Assessment Panel be rude or impudent to members of the Panel. A student appearing before a Panel in this respect is expected to exhibit the highest level of responsibility, humility and comportment, and must accord due respect to the Panel and its members and also must display total compliance with legal (professional) ethics as well as the Code of Conduct for Nigerian Law School students, in addition to other extant rules and regulations in the Nigerian Law School.
7.) Each student must personally submit all Confidential Report from Law Firms affecting him or her, to the Portfolio Assessment Panel during his or her presentation. Any student that fails to personally present his or her Law Firm Field Supervisor’s Confidential Report INA SEALED ENVELOPE as required, to the Portfolio Assessment Panel, would be scored ZERO.

Compliance with all rules is strict.
