Author Covers:
I have pursued a PhD in mathematics education at Hiroshima University, Japan, since 2022. I completed a training course entitled 'Research Methodology in Education' organized by the National Institute of Education (NIE), Cambodia, in 2021. I graduated with a master of educational planning and management at the International Institute for Educational Planning (IIEP), France, in 2017. I completed the fellowship program on Capacity Building Program for the Set Up of an In-Service Teacher Training System (Cambodia) organized by the Korean International Cooperation Agency and the Korean University of Technology & Education under the international cooperation of the government of Korea in 2018. I completed a special training program in management information and technology at Sumitomo Electic Wiring Systems (Thailand) Limited in 2011. I also graduated with a Master of Education at the Aichi University of Education, Japan, in 2011, majoring in a pure mathematics teacher training program. I graduated with a bachelor of computer science and engineering (programming and networking) at the Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP) in 2005. During the four-year program for my bachelor's degree, I gained the knowledge as good computer knowledge (Software and Hardware), including Database Programming, Computer with MS Word, Database Design, Visual Basic 6.0, C-C++ Programming, HTML, Photoshop, Internet Programming, Visual Basic.net, etc. I also have good communication skills in Khmer, English, and Japanese.
Currently, I am a third-year PhD student at Hiroshima University, doing research entitled “The study on the effectiveness of integrating GeoGebra software in teaching and learning geometry at upper secondary schools in Cambodia” to fulfil the qualification for a PhD program with the above topic. I have done group research for the National Institute of Education and supervised master’s students in writing some research related to mathematics, information communication and technology, educational planning and management, school management, and systemic inspection to meet the education reform in Cambodia.
