Finite Element Modeling, Simulation and Experimentation for Dynamic Problem

This internship is being offered for the 6^th Semester students of Mechanical and Civil Engineering so as to impart the knowledge of Finite Element Modeling Using 1D, 2D and 3D elements. Interns will learn how to perform Modal and Harmonic analysis of continuous systems such as beams and plates using finite element packages. Interns will make use of software packages such as ANSYS, MATLAB and Lab View programming for the Simulation of Free vibration analysis of Beams and plates made of aluminum steel, copper etc. for the different end conditions. Interns are also expected to perform the experimentation for the vibration of beams and plates using the sensors and Data Acquisition System [DAQ]. Interns will also learn about the basic finite element modeling of dynamic problems and they will be performing the experiments on machinery fault simulator for detection of defects in rotating machines. Interns will undertake training on carrying out the forced vibration analysis using shaker table.
