Broadband Discount Benefit for Pell Students:

• Emergency Broadband Benefit Program (EBB): 6.5 million Pell Grant recipients are now eligible for the discount of up to $50 per month. Eligible individuals can apply for the discount online, via mail or through a participating service provider. FAQ document for EBB. 

• Pell Grants: Documentation must be from the current award year and can include a benefit award letter, approval letter, statement of benefits, or benefit verification letter. Screenshots from StudentAid.govdashboard or a copy of the Department of Education’s EBB email are acceptable.

Student Crisis Fund:

NICC has established an emergency fund for students with an immediate crisis that threatens their ability to attend class or progress in their coursework. The fund provides assistance to currently enrolled students with school related expenses to promote successful completion of courses or program of study. Applications will be reviewed by the NICC Student Crisis Fund Committee to determine eligibility. Assistance to eligible students is contingent upon availability of funds.
