NHUSD Summer B.O.O.S.T. Program

WHO:

Current NHUSD PK - 4th grade students from all elementary sites

WHAT:

Free, in-person summer school experience that includes Science exploration, Math practice and review, Reading and Writing support, Enrichment, morning snack & grab-n-go lunch

WHEN:

Monday, June 13 - Thursday, July 14

Mondays - Thursdays (No school on Fridays or on July 4 holiday)

8:00 - 11:30am

Emanuele, Pioneer & Searles

Applications were accepted until Friday, April 22nd.

Please email one of the team members below if you would like your child to be placed on the wait list.

We hope to be able to offer a space for anyone interested in participating in our summer programs. However, our capacity will be limited by the number of students who apply and the number of staff members we are able to hire to accommodate the demand. Notification of your child’s acceptance will be mid-May.

Confirmation of Enrollment

All parents have gotten at least one email to confirm enrollment in the Summer B.O.O.S.T Program. If you haven't received yours, please contact a B.O.O.S.T. team member (see below).

Due to the short duration of this program, it is very important that your child take full advantage of the learning every day. Regular attendance is a vital step to academic achievement. A child with more than three absences for any reason may risk being dropped from the program. The program details are below.

Monday, June 13 - Thursday, July 14, 2022

Mondays through Thursdays only--No school Fridays or on Monday, June 20, 2022 and on Monday, July 4, 2022.

8:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

The gates will open at 7:30 a.m. and close at 8:05 a.m.

If you arrive after 8:05 a.m., please check-in at the office first.

Enrollment Requirements:

All parents will receive a paper confirmation of enrollment letter in the mail, as well as in another email. Before the first day of summer school, please be sure to:

Read the Student & Parent Handbook
Complete the Emergency Contact Form

As needed please:

Complete the Medicine Authorization Form, if needed
- If your child needs to take any form of medication while at school, please print and bring to the school site on the first day school.
- You can also pick up a blank copy of the authorization form from your assigned summer school office.
