 There is a new program in the state of Michigan to apply to colleges and universities. It is called Match is a new(and free) statewide direct admission initiative designed to make the college process simpler and more accessible for Michigan seniors. Click on the link above and fill out your application. If you fill it out before September 21st you will be in the drawing for $5,000 scholarship. 

On September 15th from 10:55–11:20 a.m., we will be hosting a Lunch and Learn with Baker College in Mrs. Polega’s classroom. This is a great opportunity for students to learn more about Baker College, including its programs, admissions process, scholarships, and other opportunities. Students who are interested in learning more about Baker College are encouraged to attend!

On October 12th from 5:30–7:30 p.m., we will be hosting a FAFSA Night in the Media Center. Representatives from Saginaw Valley State University (SVSU) will be available to assist students and families with completing the FAFSA and answering any questions about the financial aid process. We encourage seniors and their families to attend and take advantage of this helpful opportunity!

On October 19th, Bad Axe High School will host a College Night. This is a great opportunity for students and families to meet with representatives from a variety of colleges and universities, ask questions, and learn more about programs, admissions, scholarships, and other opportunities. We encourage all interested students and families to attend and take advantage of this opportunity!

On October 29th from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., we will be holding individual senior meetings with Nick from the State of Michigan. During these meetings, you will have the opportunity to learn about the different scholarships and financial aid opportunities you may qualify for through the State of Michigan or various universities. This is a great opportunity to ask questions and learn more about the financial assistance that may be available to you as you prepare for college!
