NEW HOPE-SOLEBURY SCHOOL DISTRICT
Engaging, Enriching, and Empowering All Students
through a World-Class Education
Dear Parents and Guardians,
At last night’s Board of School Directors’ meeting the Board voted to temporarily transition to the virtual instructional schedule we implemented in the fall beginning Monday, November 23 through Friday, December 4, 2020. Our students will remain in their current class assignments. Under this plan, we would anticipate a return to in-person instruction the week of December 7, 2020
Additionally, the Board approved updates to our school district Health and Safety Plan which included the changes from the most recent directions from the Pennsylvania Department of Health related to masks and travel. We need to clarify the guidelines written in the letter distributed on Wednesday with regards to quarantining for out-of-state travel. Individuals who travel out of state need to either take a diagnostic SARS-CoV2 (COVID-19) test 72 hours prior to their return or 72 hours after their return to the Commonwealth. Upon receipt of a negative test result, students can return to school. If a negative test result is not obtained, students must remain on quarantine for the 14-day quarantine period.
Sincerely,
Charles Lentz
