Acting as Learning Coaches, parents and guardians help manage their child's learning at home—motivating and monitoring their child as they complete assignments and progress through the curriculum.
This Learning Coach role evolves as students get older. In addition parents and guardians adjust their involvement, considering the student’s grade level, individual needs, and level of independence.
In the Grades K-5, the Learning Coach plays a substantial day-to-day role facilitating instruction. In Grades 6-12, the Learning Coach becomes more of a mentor and guide as the student becomes increasingly responsible for their coursework.
