Youth Apprenticeship | Grades 10 & 12
The main difference with an apprenticeship is that it is always industry driven and based on employer need. An apprenticeship may be formed when there is a business seeking to bring on a student as an employee to train for a specific role. The youth apprenticeship program allows students to utilize part of their school day to begin establishing a relationship with a local employee in a field they are hoping to enter. These are always paid opportunities and include both classroom learning along with on-the-job training.
