SUSTAINABLE ENVIRONMENT EDUCATION (SEEd) PROGRAMME
可持续环境教育
The Sustainable Environment Education programme (or SEEd for short) nurtures students to be champions of society with a heart for the environment, which is aligned to the vision of the school to nurture champions of society. This entails designing opportunities in the curriculum for students to learn about environmental issues as well as imbue values related to eco-stewardship. Students learn about the world beyond school and are encouraged to delve deeper into the environmental issues such as the impact of climate change and be able to make a stand on such issues. Taking learning beyond the curriculum, the school held its inaugural National Youth Environment Conference (NYEC) in 2021 organised by the school’s sKy leaders and Service Learning Club, focusing on the theme “Sustainable Cities”. Participants discussed and exchange views and ideas with students from other schools to broaden their perspectives. In addition, our continuous collaborations with Institutes of Higher Learning such as Biodiversity and Conservation with NUS and external organisations help us to keep abreast with current efforts to maintain sustainability.
