Coach Welliver's Webpage

My name is Joe Welliver and I teach Strength and Conditioning here at Hoggard High School. I serve as the Defensive Coordinator for the Vikings. I am excited about this semester! Helpful information can be found below:

Schedule:

1st: Planning

2nd: Weight Training (Field House)

3rd: Weight Training (Field House)

4th: Weight Training (Field House)

Understand my class is very tough and the expectations on EFFORT are high. Each day you are give 10 minutes to report to the field house (behind the football stadium) and be changed into workout gear. At that time attendance will be taken and we will begin our Dynamic Warm Up/Prep Work once our engines are going we will dive into the Lift. Each day we will perform a different workout and you are expected to do the workout that is written for that day. YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO DO YOUR OWN THING. The workouts that you will be doing is a system called A.B.T Athletic Based Training. This is to develop your athletic ability, don't worry if your not an athlete you will still enjoy the workout. Once we have finished you will be given the rest of the period to change back out into different clothes and cool down before dismissal. WARNING: There are lockers down here for you to use. They do not have locks. THE SCHOOL IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY THEFT THAT MAY OCCUR. If you are concerned about something getting stolen (phone, money, etc.) bring a lock for the locker you are using lock your stuff up and take the lock with you each day, any locks that are left will be cut off.
