Meet the teachers

Dear Parents,

My name is Gina Tavares, and I will be your child's teacher this year. I am so excited to get to know your child and your family. I'd like to share a little bit about myself. 

This is my fifth year teaching here at Howe Pre-k, and I have worked in special education for nine years. I absolutely love what I do! I completed my Birth-kindgarten licensure through UNC Wilmington's Watson College of Education. Prior to earning my licensure, I graduated from John Jay College of Criminal Justice, where I recieved my B.A. in Forensic Psychology.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my big family, our dog, reading, and working out.
