Hello! My name is Lauren Staley! I am so excited to be your 3rd Grade teacher! I am originally from Wilmington but I lived in Asheboro for 7 years before returning to Wilmington over the summer!  I graduated from New Hanover Highschool, Go Wildcats! I am a proud UNCW Alumni with my Bachelors in Elementary Education with a concentration in Behavioral Studies.

I have been married to my husband, Ryan, for 3 years! I have a younger brother, Jacob, who is 26. I have 2 “four-legged” sisters Nelli and Oakley!  

This will be my 9th year in the classroom!  I have previously taught Kindergarten, 2nd in addition to 3rd grade! I have also worked with middle and high school students as a mental health first responder at the YMCA! 

When I am not in the classroom I enjoy reading and spending time with family and friends. I am very excited to be back in Wilmington and at Porter Neck Elementary! After all, learning is more fun by the beach! Here’s to a great year! Go Pelicans!
