About Us

My name is Kim Ciamillo, and I have been teaching since 1999. I have taught high school and middle school, and finally found my true calling in elementary school. I have taught in Onslow and New Hanover County and grew up in North Carolina (Swansboro, specifically). My education certification was from UNCW. I love NC!

At a very young age, I wanted to be a teacher. I love working, teaching, and having fun with children. I am married and have 2 fantastic daughters (Sydney and Macey), who your children will hear stories about daily! Being around children is one of my favorite things in the universe because of their sweetness and ability to bring out the child in me.

My name is Allison Cox. I have been teaching since 2013. I have been so fortunate to spend my entire teaching career here at Holly Tree. I taught 3rd grade for 5 years and was the Gifted Education Specialist for 5 years. I am so excited to teach 2nd grade. 

I grew up in Cary, NC, and attended UNCW, where I earned my teaching degree. I am married and have 1 precious little girl (Tory). We also have the best dog, Beau! I love sharing my Tory and Beau stories and pictures with the kids here at school. Let's have a wonderful year!

My Name is Sarah Jones, and I am so excited to be at Holly Tree Elementary teaching 2nd grade!

My teaching career began in 2012 and has mostly been spent in kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grade. I knew from a very young age that I wanted to be a teacher, and it is truly my passion in life. I grew up in the suburbs of Charlotte and earned my teaching degree at UNCC.

In addition to knowing that teaching was my calling, I also knew I was a beach girl at heart. This motivated me to move to Florida, which is where I have lived for the past 6 years. I just recently made the wonderful decision to move back to my NC roots, which led me to teach here at Holly Tree.

I can assure you that your child will love this new journey we will be on together. Getting to be their teacher is an honor that I will cherish every day. Your child is going to be loved, cared for, have tons of fun, and be successful. I cannot wait to have an amazing year together!

My name is Brandi Mitchell, and I have been teaching since 2008, mostly in 2nd grade. I have taught in Onslow and New Hanover County and grew up in Virginia. My education certification was from UNCW.  I love living on the coast of NC!

I love working with kids and seeing them grow and learn. I am married to my husband, Vann, and we have a son, Fletcher.
