ORCHESTRA
Students in orchestra will learn to play the violin, viola, cello, or string bass. This is a great opportunity to make friends and have fun. The orchestra performs as an ensemble at least twice a year.
All MGMS 6th graders are invited to sign up for this year long music performance elective. No experience is required, and most students are brand new beginners. Instruments are available to borrow for the year as needed.
7th and 8th graders continue to grow as musicians in the advanced orchestra classes and have access to greater opportunities through MPA, All County, and Junior Eastern Regional Orchestra auditions.
GUITAR & GENERAL MUSIC
Students will explore the wide world of music in a variety of forms. General Music and Guitar classes will sample music theory, explore music in the real world, and enjoy learning to play the guitar.
