Joseph Hulett Jr. is a graduate of The Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam, New York where he received his Bachelors of Music Education with a concentration in Saxophone performance in 2012. He holds an Associates in Science with a concentration in performance on Saxophone from Schenectady County Community College in Schenectady NY. He has performed with the Capital Region Wind Ensemble in NY, is a part of the Wilmington Symphonic Winds and performs as a pit musician for local theatre companies in Wilmington.
Mr. Hulett relocated to Wilmington, North Carolina to pursue his teaching career. After being the interim Orchestra teacher, Mr. Hulett was very excited to be welcomed as the official Orchestra Teacher at Roland Grise Middle School in 2017. He has since transitioned to the Band director at RGMS since 2019. He enjoys working with his students to assist them in becoming more self sufficient musicians and to appreciate a wider variety of music.
When he is not teaching, he is spending time with his family. He enjoys the outdoors and chasing after his three young sons.
