All About Us 

Hello! My name is Phoenix Wolner, and I’m thrilled to be starting my fourth year at Howe Pre-K. I’ve been working in early childhood education for the past 10 years, and I truly love what I do. I earned my bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Mount Olive, and I’ve always had a deep passion for helping young children grow, learn, and discover the joy of school for the very first time.

Outside the classroom, I’m married to my high school sweetheart, and we have three energetic little boys who keep life fun and full of adventure. I’m so excited to welcome your child to Room 5, and I look forward to a fantastic year of learning, laughter, and growth together!

Hi! I'm Angel Flores, and I’m proud to be part of the Howe Pre-K team at NHCS. I’ve worked in early childhood education for 19 years, including 11 years with the NC Pre-K program and 8 years at Howe as a Teacher Assistant, Webmaster, and Public Relations Coordinator.

I earned my Associate’s Degree in Applied Science in Early Childhood Education with Honors from Brunswick Community College. I’ve worked with children of all ages and still enjoy working part-time at a childcare center in the afternoons.

When I’m not in the classroom, I love relaxing at the beach or reading a good book. I’m also a proud mom to a young adult son who graduated in 2020 and now works at Toyota doing what he loves—working on cars!

I’m looking forward to a great year ahead!
