TRYOUTS / SELECTING TEAM PLAYERS:

Players' abilities will be assessed at tryouts using the rubric provided below. 

Players will have opportunities to work through various drills and games to show their abilities/attributes.

Due to a limited number of jerseys (max of 15) we have to make "cuts". 

In addition to academic standing*, we will select the players who best meet the criteria listed below:

1.     Tryout performance (based on rubric below)

2.  Overall athleticism

3.  Basketball knowledge

4.  Behavior and being "coach-able"

5.  Desire and responsibility

6.  Aggressive team and individual play

7.    Team needs

*Academic Standing = Passing all classes with good behavior reports from teachers*

If players have any questions on the interpretation of these criteria, it is important that they ask a coach. If any athlete does not understand why she has not been placed on the roster, she is encouraged to contact a coach and set up a time during which she and the staff may confer.
