7:20-7:40-Morning Work
During Morning Work, students may be working on assigned work, work from the previous day, meeting with the teacher, or doing hands-on activities. This is always a quiet work time to get prepared for the day.
Mr. Hall announces birthdays, important information, and we have a moment of silence and say the Pledge of Allegiance.
This time will consist of social emotional learning (SEL).
During DIVE time we will all be learning, practicing, or extending our knowledge of 4th grade skills.
We will be using the reading program called Wit & Wisdom to integrate learning of all components of ELA-Inquiry, Reading, Speaking and Listening, Vocabulary, Writing, Grammar, Style and Conventions
This is a continuation of our ELA block during which we will be extending our understanding of specific skills to support our reading and writing
We will rotate between science and social studies doing each subject for 4.5 weeks.
Ms. weeks' homeroom will switch to Ms. Coe's room to be ready for the afternoon math block.
Students will work on math fact fluency in order to support 4th grade math standards
Focus classes are art, Guidance, music/Media, and PE. These classes will be on a 4 day rotating schedule.
We will be using a program called Eureka Squared to work on mastering our 4th grade math skills.
Power-Up is used for an intervention and enrichment time. Students may get extra support in an area of need, get enrichment to extend their learning, or leave the room to go to another teacher who provides them a service.
