I am so glad I get to work with the wonderful students and families of Laney High School for the 2025-2026 school year!  In addition to teaching math classes here at Laney, I also coach girls' softball here and at Trask Middle.  As a native Wilmingtonian, I am grateful to be a product of New Hanover County Schools and now a teacher in this awesome school system.  I went through NHCS at Eaton Elementary, Noble Middle, and Laney High!  I attended Guilford College to play collegiate softball and later transferred to UNCW to pursue my goal of becoming an educator.  This is my 7th year of teaching, previously working in Special Education at Williston Middle and Hoggard High, and Science Education at Trask Middle.  Outside of school, I like to spend time with my dog, Harley, going on walks and playing fetch in our backyard.  I recently got married in December of 2023 to my best friend, Stephen! I love coaching softball, cooking and crafting all the things with my Cricut!
