About Me

My name is Ms. Axelson and I am new to Williams Elementary School this year (2023-2024). I grew up in Wilmington and graduated from UNCW in 2015 with a Bachelor's of Science in Elementary Education; I graduated again in 2018 with a Master's of Education in Elementary Education. I taught elementary school in Nash county for two years. I have a passion for mental health, meeting students where they are, and supporting students in their holistic growth. I earned my Master's of Education in School Counseling from Liberty University in December 2021. I began working for New Hanover County Schools in February 2022 as a professional school counselor at Trask Middle School. I am excited to return to the elementary level and work at Williams Elementary School!
