About the Teacher

Hi! My name is Ruby Matoy. I am a Second Grade Teacher at Alderman Elementary. I have been teaching over 30 years!  Before coming to New Hanover County, I was an Instructional Coach in Wake County.  I graduated from Barton College. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and pets! I love the beach, seashells, sea turtles and boating. I am so excited to begin a new school year and getting to know my students and families.
