About Me!

Welcome! My name is Ashton Caruthers, but my students call me Ms. C. I graduated from Marshall University in Huntington, WV, in May 2021 with a bachelor's degree in Secondary Science Education. I completed my M.Ed. in STEM Education with a science concentration from NC State in May of 2025. I am currently an educator of the Teach STEM program through the Young Scientists Academy (YSA), and I am also an AI ambassador for Hoggard. Get ready for technology, hands-on activities, and field trips if you are taking a class with me!

One of my biggest stress relievers is taking my puppy, Lego, on long walks and doing fitness boxing in the morning. I have recently started traveling with Education First Tours and went to Italy and Japan last year. Ask me about going to New Zealand and Australia next summer! I love teaching and science, and I absolutely LOVE teaching science! I can't wait to start this new year with you!
