Hello! My name is April Ward, and I am the teacher for Honors Health Science 1, Honors Health Science 2, and Honors Fundamentals of Nursing. I have been a Registered Nurse for 17 years and am a graduate of Laney High School! GO BUCS!! I have a background in Medical/Surgical, Cardiology, Women's Services, Dental, and Pediatric Nursing. I love teaching all about the body and the many structures and functions. I am a native Wilmingtonian and enjoy the beach and keep busy with two boys. I also continue to work as needed at the hospital twice a month, to stay abreast of all the new and ever-changing medical devices, medications, and patient care procedures.
