Classroom Expectations

4TH GRADE POLICIES AND PROCEDURES

- Email communication with teachers is preferred and the easiest way to keep in contact.
- Sign up for PowerSchool in order to remain aware of your child’s grades and missing assignments.
- Please send in a written note or email for transportation changes. Any transportation changes must be made by 1:45. If we do not have a note of a change, children will be sent home their normal way.
- Students are unable to be checked out after 1:45.
- After an absence, please send in an excuse note within 3 days to avoid the absence being entered as an unexcused absence.

- Birthdays: Please refrain from sending in invitations unless the entire class is invited. Birthday treats can be given during your child’s designated lunch time. If you would like to bring in a treat, please make sure to check with the teacher for allergies. Treats must be store bought and include a list of ingredients.
- Snacks/Water: Students will be given time to enjoy their one healthy snack each morning. Snacks should also not be shared with other students. Water bottles are allowed in the classroom.
- Cell phones are to be stored in backpacks and turned off during instruction.

Homework will go home on Mondays, and will be due on Friday. Please also expect to also see any work that was not completed in class.

- Classwork is expected to be completed and turned in on time.
- Please make sure you are monitoring grades using PowerSchool frequently and adhering to the school-wide grading policy.

80-89% -B

70-79% -C

59% and below -F
