About Me

Hello! My name is Sarah Maurer, and I am so excited to be your child's fifth grade science teacher this year! I love to be apart of the development and growth of students and to work together with families to make it a rewarding year!

Let me tell you a little about myself! I am originally from Westchester County, New York. I went to Keene State College in New Hampshire where I ended up meeting my Husband, Tyler. Together we took the trip and moved to Carolina Beach. We moved over the bridge and lived there for many years before returning to Carolina Beach and buying our own little piece of paradise last summer! I have two kids, Eli (8) and Remi (6) and our Golden Retrievers, Moose and Bear, who are sure to keep me busy during my time away from school!

This will be my 16th year teaching and each year my goal is the same, to create a positive, fun environment where students and teachers work together to reach our full potential. Monthly newsletters along with Classroom Dojo messages will be sent to keep families informed about what is going on in the classroom.
