About Mrs. Lauffenburger

Hello! 

I am excited to be your math teacher here at Trask! I originally grew up in New Jersey but moved to Wilmington with my husband in 2001 and have loved living here ever since.  During that time our family grew to include three children, my oldest Teagan just finished college and is working as a nurse, my middle Zachary is starting his sophomore year of college and my youngest, Emmett will be a sophomore in high school.  I attended Penn State for my first degree in math then worked in finance for several years before having children and taking some time off to be with them.  When I was ready to go back to work I decided to pursue an earlier passion, education and worked as a teaching assistant at Masonboro Elementary.  I decided to combine my love of the classroom with my love of math and pursued a graduate certificate through UNC Charlotte. I did my student teaching at Trask and liked it so much I decided to stay! I love to travel, especially to Disney, love to read and love to spend time with my family!
