Meet Your Teacher
My name is Mrs. Lastner and I am excited to work with your family this year. I am in my 13th year teaching, all of them between kindergarten and 2nd grade. I received my undergraduate degree in psychology from James Madison University in Virginia and then went on to pursue my teaching certificate. Since then my family has moved around a bit, giving me the opportunity to teach in Maryland, Louisiana, Illinois and now North Carolina. My husband, Matt, is a professor at UNCW. We have two kids, Kylee (11) and Braeden (7), who keep us busy. I love watching the Green Bay Packers, reading a good book and going to the beach. I look forward to making this year amazing!
