About Me

Welcome! I am so excited to be your second grade teacher. This is my fifth year here at Anderson Elementary school. I strive to make every student feel valued and appreciated so that they can reach their maximum potential. 

I am originally from Ohio and moved to Wilmington for college. I then fell in love with Wilmington and the beach and didn't want to leave. I studied Marine Biology at UNCW  where I met my now husband.  I then worked at the aquarium for several years and we had 3 children. My children's names are Hailey, Kelsey, and Luke.  After having children I decided to pursue another one of my dream careers and returned to school to get a master's degree in elementary education. 

My family really enjoys camping and having lots of adventures together. We love hiking, swimming, and just about any outdoor adventure we can find! I am looking forward to getting to know each of you this year and spending lots of time learning and having fun!
