About Mrs. Adams

Hello! 

I am so excited to start another school year here at Trask. I am from a very small town called Hubbard which is located in Ohio. I graduated with a Bachelors Degree from Kent State University, and after graduating moved to Wilmington. This will be my 14th year teaching math at Trask Middle School, and my sixth year teaching 6th grade. I was New Hanover County Middle School Teacher of the Year 2017/18, WWAY's Teacher of the Year 2019. StarNews Teacher of the Month April 2020. I am also a member of the NHCS Emerging Leaders Program, where I serve as a Pathway Partner. I love to go to the beach during my time off of school and snuggling my dog Buxton! I am obsessed with whales and once even went swimming with Belugas! I have two nieces, Lydia and Layla, and I adore them. I work a second job at a local boutique, Salty Chic! I am very excited to get to know everyone throughout the upcoming school year.
