About Mrs. Porter

¡Hola!

A little about me: This will be my twelfth year teaching at New Hanover High School and I love being a wildcat! Originally from Durham, NC, I went to school at Appalachian State University (Go Mountaineers!) and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Spanish Education.

I am married to my best friend, Scott, and in September we will celebrate 12 years of marriage. We have an incredible passion to travel and love seeing the world together. We have two children, Hudson (March 2020) and Knox (April 2022). We are also slightly obsessed with our 7 year old Golden Retriever, Rufus.  

Things I love: coffee, board games, baking, paddleboarding, and a good movie night.
