Class overview

Welcome to the middle of the middle.  You have now entered 7th grade, so I hope you are ready to have some fun and learn something new this year.  In ELA class, our goal is to read and write daily.  We will begin our year by exploring the genre of fiction with a focus on plot structure, conflict, character, and perspective. As we study the various literary genres and subgenres, we will explore ourselves as independent readers and learners and establish independent reading goals and habits.  My hope is that, by the end of the year, every student has read something that they can relate to and enjoy!
