Here is an idea of some of the standards 4th graders will be expected to learn in math:
-Solve problems using multiplication and division
-Understand and use place value for multi-digit numbers
-Muli-digit division and solving problems using long division
-Multi-step word problems using all 4 operations.
-Find common denominators and converting fractions from unit fractions
-Adding and Subtracting Fractions
-Changing decimals to fractions and fractions to decimals (tenths and hundredths)

-Understand the causes of day and night and phases of the moon.
-Understand patterns of change in the Earth's surface over time.
-Understand changes caused by human impact on the environment.
