All about me!

My name is Kaleigh Akin! I am from Greensboro, North Carolina. I graduated from UNCW where I also taught in Belize for 6 weeks. My husband and I met in college. We have a beautiful 10 year old lab mix named Daisy, a 9 year old boy named Raylan, and a 6 year old boy named Rodney.

This is my eighth year as a Bear at Trask! Before Trask I taught for 5 years at Castle Hayne Elementary teaching IBS. I am excited to work with the Trask Bears again this year! I will be teaching IAS math and language arts for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade. I will also be supporting fluency groups throughout the year.
