About Mr. Lancaster

My name is Jim Lancaster and I have been teaching for over 30 years now. For the past 26 years I have been a 6th or 7th grade teacher here at Trask Middle School. I taught math for many years and am now teaching social studies. My wife and I have lived in Wilmington for the past 26 years. We have a son and daughter that both attended Trask many years ago. My son is currently living and working in Greensboro, and my daughter works here in Wilmington for a tech company based in Boone. Since we are empty nesters we rescued Cabo & Wabo a couple of years ago and recently Sauza.  The pictures to the right are from my 6th & 10th grade years. Caffeine is my friend. It helps me keep up with the kids.  I enjoy iced coffee... particularly from our local coffee houses.  I look forward to teaching your child about the early history of human civilizations around the world this year.
