Wilmington has been my home over the past five years, and I am looking forward to beginning my teaching years here. I was born and raised in Wake Forest, NC. It is just north of Raleigh, but fun fact it is not where the college is. Oh yes, I get that a lot. My family is so close-knit I tend to make occasional road trips to see them when I can. I love riding my bike around town, and I am a beach girl, there is no doubt about that.

During my studies through Watson College of Education, I have been so fortunate to study and teach in three different countries besides our own. Malawi, Sweden, and Ethiopia all have my heart and have impacted my perspective on education immensely.

When we do get the chance to see each other, it might be hard to see my smile! I promise you it will not be hard to feel my energy :)
