Hello! I am Ms. Mannion and I have been teaching Social Studies for the last eleven years. I'm originally from Matthews, NC but I moved to Wilmington 15 years ago to attend UNCW. I received my bachelor's degree in 2015, and completed my master's degree in history in 2020.
Over the past 10 years, I have taught World History, Civics and Economics, and Economics and Personal Financial Literacy here at Isaac Bear.
In my spare time, I have a few different hobbies. I used to play rugby for UNCW, but after two ACL tears, I had to quit. Despite this, I still enjoy almost all physical activity, from running, to boxing, to yoga. I love to read, and have one very fluffy cat named Max and a puppy named Sophie. However, what I enjoy the most is traveling. I was fortunate enough to travel with my family when I was young, and I took my first solo trip to Ireland 12 years ago. Since then I have adventured to London, Scotland, Germany, Costa Rica, Italy, Greece, Ireland (again), Spain, Belize, Italy (again), Iceland, Japan, and most recently to France, Germany, and the Swiss Alps with a group of Isaac Bear students! (please feel free to email with any questions about student travel).
