As scientists in my class, students will be coached to observe patterns, analyze data systematically, and explain their answers using evidence. They will ask questions, use models, as well as plan and carry out investigations.
This EOG-tested course places a strong focus on vocabulary and classifying content into seven subgroups within our Earth Science, Life Science, and Physical Science spiral curriculum: Energy, Hydrology, Earth’s History (Geology), Biological Evolution, Ecosystems (Ecology), Disease (Pathology & Epidemiology), and Matter (Physics & Chemistry).
Students are expected to attend class every day and give their best effort on classwork, homework, and assessments. Students will listen, learn, and follow the ROAR guidelines of Williston Middle School and the CHAMPS structure in the classroom. Both will be taught during the first ten days of school and can be found linked to this site.
